The additional loan payments will minimise interest which is charged on the loan account at the home loan rate.

The ability to draw cash on a required basis allows you to maximise the period of time additional payments are left in the loan account. This in turn reduces the interest charged on the loan, given interest is charged on the daily outstanding balance.
